• Select your audience – Item and collection-level security ensures your resources can optionally be made available only to specified users or IP addresses. Within a single collection, you can decide to make the metadata accessible to all, while requiring a password to view the actual file. Whatever your needs, CONTENTdm gives you the security options to meet them.

• Searching and accessing collections.

  Flexible search features include:
  • Dublin Core and Latin-1 character set support;
  • Boolean operators;
  • advanced search for users to search by defined fields, across all fields, by proximity, and across one or many collections.

• Ideal for collaboration - Scan or import files from up to 50 different workstations and manage them from anywhere, using a browser. You can also do cross-collection searching on multiple servers.

• Standards support - CONTENTdm is standards-based, including XML, Dublin Core, OAI and JPEG2000 to allow for staff efficiency and cost effectiveness, as well as enabling a common language when describing media and searching across collections.

  This enables your collection to be:

  • easily incorporated into larger virtual collections,
  • easily harvested and
  • re-purposed.

• Object management - Import and edit files individually or in batch and manage them from anywhere, using a web browser.
