Corporate Social Responsibility

Sabinet focuses its Corporate Social Responsibility activities on the educational and social development of deserving communities in South Africa. In addition to formal corporate initiatives, Sabinet staff have contributed generously of their time and personal funds to assist in a number of projects.

The company donates at least 10% of its pre-tax profits to the Sabinet Chairperson’s Fund which then identifies, executes and actively manages and administers all Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

Current projects include

  • Adult Basic Education and Training
  • Community Library assistance and sponsorships
  • Enterprise development
  • Extra mathematics classes for primary school children in Soshanguve and Mamelodi
  • Sponsorship of underprivileged school children
  • Support of Itumeleng Street Children Shelter

In implementing BBBEE in our organisation, we follow the Codes of Good Practice as gazetted on 9 February 2007, and are further guided by a single important philosophy: that our BBBEE decisions make business sense, and our business decisions make BBBEE sense.
